In La révérence (mobile) , young Valais actor Émeric Cheseaux tells the story of his departure from a “small” commune for the “big” city. A tender and delightful one-man show to be discovered in bistros, churches, EMS, etc.
“Like many Valaisans, my first contact with a certain theatrical idea was through choirs, brass bands and – to a more colourful extent – mass. In churches, village halls and village squares, we have our bearings. We know the codes of these places. We feel at home there. Based on this observation, the artistic movement I have to sketch out is to go towards people, to go towards these familiar places that bring people together, to reach out to a new audience”.
