At the end of 2023, the construction of technical premises on the site of Martigny’s municipal swimming pool necessitated a major archaeological operation.
Before work began, the Office cantonal d’Archéologie carried out a georadar survey to estimate the density of remains.
to estimate the density of remains present. InSitu Archéologie SA then carried out the work from November 2023 until May 2024. The first results of this archaeological intervention are the subject of this presentation.
