The Fondation P. Gianadda invites you to a new concert on Wednesday May 14, 2024 at 7:30 pm.
On August 9, 1974, Gilbert Varga conducted his very first concert in the church of Martigny-Bourg, with his father Tibor Varga as soloist. The maestro wanted to celebrate 50 years in the music business with a festive concert, underlining the close friendship between his family and Léonard Gianadda.
The conductor chose as his soloist a 15-year-old Korean violinist, Seohyun Kim, who won first prize in the Tibor Varga 2023 Competition. Moved by the young girl’s formidable talent, he will lend her the Guadagnini violin that belonged to her father. A beautiful story of friendship!
