Fondation P. Gianadda: Ana Vidović [English]

The Fondation P. Gianadda invites you to a new concert on Sunday April 27 at 7:30 pm.

Founded in 1997 at Madrid’s Reina Sofia School of Music, Cuarteto Casals bears the name of the famous Catalan cellist Pablo Casals. Since winning first prize at the London and Hamburg Brahms Competitions, they have regularly accompanied the King of Spain on diplomatic visits, and have been invited to perform in the world’s most prestigious concert halls. In residence at the Barcelona Conservatory, Cuarteto Casals celebrated its 25th anniversary during the 2022-2023 season.

The Catalan quartet will be accompanied in Boccherini’s famous Fandango by Ana Vidović, a Croatian-born guitarist who began her career as a child prodigy. Her international career took off when she was just 11 years old. Her playing has it all: clarity, warmth, precision and intuition.
