Faraj Suleiman is a Palestinian composer and pianist whose music is strongly influenced by Arabic/Oriental melodies and rhythms. He often incorporates these scales and modalities into his compositions. As well as being inspired by his Arab culture, he is also influenced by jazz traditions.
An Arab musician/pianist trained in classical music, he is constantly seeking new forms of expression to appeal to both “Eastern” and “Western” listeners.
