In spring 2014, the Universités Populaires de Martigny and Fully decided to join forces to ensure the sustainability of courses, to cope with ever-higher operating costs, and to offer a panel of courses on the whole region of Fully and Martigny, without competition and benefiting from synergies specific to each municipality. Since then, courses and conferences have been held in both municipalities. Language courses are held in Martigny, the other courses in Fully.

Over the years, the Université Populaire de Martigny & Fully has managed to offer a varied and constantly renewed choice of courses: Yoga, auto-hypnosis, sophrology, relaxation, initiation to singing bowls, but also sewing, knitting, crochet, macramé, metalwork, wood carving, floral decoration, world cuisine, photography, computer science, as well as mushroom discovery or tree and shrub pruning or organic gardening… Passionate teachers and facilitators are keen to pass on their knowledge to participants aged 16 to 100! The curriculum is distributed throughout the District of Martigny and beyond and is open to all regardless of age or place of residence. Currently, Christine Bruchez-Carron is the president of the Université Populaire de Martigny & Fully.
