The last wooden bridge suitable for motor vehicles in Valais.
Washed away for the first time by the Dranse river floods in 1635, then by the break-up of the Giétroz glacier (1818), which resulted in the construction of a new bridge in 1829. Since then it has been covered with larch-wood arches and was strengthened in 1920. It is the last arched bridge in Valais still in use.
